If I told you I had the secret to a happy life you would just laugh, but I think I do. Everyone wants to be beautiful and everyone has their idea of “beauty”. Unfortunately, Hollywood has given us pre- conceived ideas of what beauty is. In the early days of Hollywood, beauty was blonde, small, voluptuous and breathy. Now those people get a look and a snicker…why? Because things change. Most people look at Marilyn Monroe and think she is the ultimate female, but today, Marilyn is just a pretty face most don’t have and she is conceived as a victim and that doesn’t look good on anyone. Yes, we would all like to look like her but I am telling you now, CREATE YOUR OWN BEAUTY.
Beauty is in you and your light shines from within. Being healthy, at a good weight for your frame and a truly an interesting person is the key to this mess! Not easy, but doable!
How do we become interesting? A million different ways! One way is to read a lot, the one sure way is to BE genuinely INTERESTED IN OTHERS. This is hard to do because we are all interested in ourselves. It’s a survival mechanism!
Everything your mother told you was true (or at least your grandmother) Be your best always, groomed perfectly and dressed impeccably (and it doesn’t have to be expensive). If you purchase things that look good on you, fit you properly and colors that suit you…you will be fine. Look at others, do you look like everybody else? I hope not. Stand out, but not in a funky or silly way. Learn sophistication, the difference between a silver spoon an a plastic one! I’m not talking snooty, I’m talking an image of the best you are so that others want to be like YOU!
Remember, you don’t look at yourself but others do. This stuff works and it’s simple. I swear to you, I don’t go anywhere ever without someone approaching me and asking how I keep my skin so beautiful. I am a little old lady! It is rare that I am not complimented on something I am wearing and I dress like no one you know. Eat right (like the French) a big meal every other day! Enjoy your food, but not too much of it. Get plenty of sleep and learn to RELAX. Listen and respond positively, first instinct is to win…but get over it. I ask God to put one hand over my mouth and the other over my heart! I tend to be very quick and amusing but I try to be interested in what’s happening.
Pick your friends wisely….they are your life style. You choose who you are, don’t let others make the choice.
